Do We Deserve Our Fate?

Social Security insolvency has been talked about for decades yet no Republicans or Democrats made any real effort to try and fix the problem. Decades for fixing the problem have been wasted and the problem moves closer to catastrophe everyday, and still nothing is done. The idea that social security is the "third rail" of politics is a selfish and narcissist view only thinking about the votes you might lose. The reality is that if someone does not fix it soon there will be no social security for anybody, and that impacts voters as a tsunami of anger at politicians for not fixing it when they should have.
We are all adults. It time to act like adults. Move the problem to a high priority in every branch of government until solution(s) are found. Ignoring the problem is just making it worse.
