Las Vegas Replica? |
|
N.Y Harbor Real? |
So it turns out that the U.S. Postal Service needed to select a picture of the Statue of Liberty for its new stamps. It picked out the picture and then printed 3 Billion stamps. Those 3 Billion stamps were not printed with a picture of the real Statue Of Liberty, but instead they were printed with a replica Statue Of Liberty in front of a Las Vegas hotel. I thought this was a joke. How could anybody be so stupid to use a picture of the Statue of Liberty with a picture of a hotel and roller coaster within yards from a statue, when the real statue is the only thing on it's own island in N.Y. Harbor. This is why the U.S. Postal service lost $8.4 billion dollars last year. At some point the U.S. government needs to cut its loses and privatize the U.S. Postal Service.
Incompetence, ignorance, and poor decisions is what makes a government bureaucrat a bureaucrat. This is the same level of competence that we can expect from the bureaucrats running government run Obamacare health care. Their death panels and rationing decisions will impact all Americans and probably in a very very negative way. These guys will be making life and death decisions on every American. Keep your fingers crossed?
