Boehner's attitude has changed to "the legislature writes the laws" and "the president signs the bills he agrees with". There is no need for Obama to be involved in legislative process of agreement and compromise. When the bill comes to his desk Obama can sign it or veto it. His choice.
I think this approach to legislation makes perfect sense when a sitting president is trying to impose his policies that many disagree with and especially when the president's position keeps changing toward conflict instead of consensus. Obama keeps moving the goal posts.
There is no way America can handle another 4 years of this president. He is ruining the country morally, ethically, financially, politically, and constitutionally.
