Why does Hollywood give so much power and control to SAG? SAG never has the best interest of the current project at heart, it only has the best interest of SAG and it's members. All SAG does for films is make their production much more expensive. I'll bet there is not a writer, producer, or director in Hollywood that doesn't wish they could make films without SAG involvement. To SAG, the guy running the camera is more important than the writer or director that created the project(s) and all the related new jobs.
