Japanese Engineers Knew Tsunami Could Overrun Plant

Hindsight being 20/20,  it appears to be clear that many Japanese engineers knew that the nuclear plant would not withstand a large tsunami. Tokyo Electric Power Co's senior safety engineer was ignored despite warnings from a 2007 study. But a review of company and regulatory records shows that Japan and its largest utility indicates that TEPCO repeatedly downplayed dangers and ignored warnings.
