Obamacare Waivers List

Note: the list below now has 750 new granted waiver requests.

Currently the GOP, Tea Party, and a majority of American voters are calling for the repeal of Obamacare. A repeal will pass in the House, could pass in the Senate, and then will probably be vetoed by POTUS. Following the 2012 elections, I would estimate that the repeal will pass in both houses of Congress and then be signed by a newly elected conservative POTUS.

There are democrats still arguing that Obamacare is a good bill, and that it will cause death and destruction if not implemented. It's very interesting that many of the supporters of Obamacare, that openly revealed how they think it is good for the country, are getting waivers so they can avoid its regulations because it will cost jobs and possible health care for some employees. One of the groups is Andy Styne's SEIU. They praised Obamacare during the voting, and now have applied for and received a waiver to avoid the regulations of the bill. So the SEIU is not bound by the regulations of Obamacare. If Obamacare is a good thing then why the need for waivers?

Does that seem fair to you? If Obamacare is good thing for the country, then why do people need waivers from its regulations? Is everyone permitted to apply and receive a waiver, or is it only the inner circle of Obama's base supporters.
